Universal Cars Limited (UCL) launched its new series of Euro 4 Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa Public Light Bus and Private Bus. They were introduced at a press conference and test drive event in Regal Riverside Hotel in Shatin. Apart from the outstanding features and equipments already found in the last generation Rosa series, the new Rosa incorporated significant enhancements in interior comfort, ergonomics and efficiency, while featuring distinctive new styling, to make an already outstanding vehicle even better.
Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) newly design new features to enhance both active and passive safety to the new Rosa. New standard safety features include side marker lamps, rear fog lamps and adjustable headlamps to alert other road users during night time driving. Its monocoque body is constructed from high strength steel to provide high level of body rigidity and safety.
A powerful new engine complying the Euro 4 emission standard is used in the new Rosa. This 4M50 diesel engine has a displacement of 4,899cc, features 16 valves with double overhead camshaft (DOHC), turbo charger and intercooler. It pumps out a maximum 150PS, combined with a six speed gearbox, fuel economy is kept in line with the last generation Rosa despite the increase in engine displacement. The very quiet factory-built air-conditioning system coupled with the well insulated interior ensures customers can travel in comfort simultaneously.
A new Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa Bus equipped with automatic transmission system was found to exhibit in the event.
