Tin Shui Wai Pegasus Football Club's Press conference

Since August 2008, Universal Cars Limited has been in a joint venture with a new football team in Hong Kong Football League named
“TSW Pegasus – 天水圍飛馬足球隊”.

In the long run, Universal Cars Limited (UCL) continuously takes the social responsibility and renders to society with different ways. It is the great opportunity to render to Hong Kong sport and enhance the quality of football sport. One of the main objectives of UCL is to help the Tin Shui Wai district sport development and foster up the youth’s interest in the aspect of football sport. Tin Shui Wai has been ever named for “Miserable Town”. Many new comers come to Hong Kong from China are living in Tin Shui Wai as their first family place. According to their different backgrounds, they are hard to get accustom to the community and culture. Many tragedies were caused to occur.

Tin Shui Wai New Town is a beautiful place and located in the northwestern part of New Territories. Its development began in 1987. A total area of about 430 hectares of land has been formed by reclamation of the low-lying areas. The development zone of 220 hectares, located in the southern part of the new town, has been developed to house about 200,000 people, complete with all infrastructure works and a full range of community facilities. A Light Rail Transit line and new roads linking the new town to the trunk road network provide good communication with the Yuen Long and Tuen Mun districts and to the urban areas beyond. The new town is next to historic Ping Shan. The famous place of the Hong Kong Wetland Park, demonstrating the diversity of the Hong Kong‘s wetland ecosystem, is also located in Tin Shui Wai.

Universal Cars Limited sponsored one unit of Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa bus for the football club as a shuttle bus purpose. This Rosa bus has conveyed many joys and winnings including the champion of Silver Shield 2008 (it is the first time TSW Pegasus to participate the important contest). Except to share with victory, Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa bus and Universal Cars Limited will continue to support and assist to develop the football culture and take the social responsibility in Hong Kong.
